Square Cabinetry Limited Warranty

1-Year Limited Warranty

Square Cabinetry provides a 1-year limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship from the date of purchase.
This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and for residential use.

Coverage includes replacement or repair of defective parts at the discretion of Square Cabinetry. Labor costs for removal, installation, or any related services are not included.

What Is Not Covered

This warranty does not cover damage or defects caused by:

  • Improper handling, storage, installation, assembly, or disassembly
  • Modifications or intentional damage
  • Exposure to moisture, extreme humidity, or other environmental conditions
  • Sunlight, smoke, household cleaners, or chemicals
  • Misuse, accidents, or negligence

Square Cabinetry will determine what is considered a defect.
Photos are required for all warranty claims.

Climate & Environmental Considerations

Wood naturally expands and contracts with humidity changes:

  • Higher humidity can cause slight swelling
  • Lower humidity can cause shrinkage
  • Most changes occur across the width of the wood, not the height

Cabinets are designed to accommodate some movement, and adjustable hinges help compensate.
However, installing cabinets in extremely humid environments or locations without air conditioning may cause noticeable wood movement. This is considered normal and not covered by warranty.

Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight may cause color fading. This is not a manufacturing defect.

Natural Wood Characteristics - Not Considered Defects

Wood is a natural material and naturally varies. The following characteristics are expected and normal, and not covered under warranty:

  • Variations in texture, wood grain, mineral streaks, knots, pinholes, sap marks
  • Natural color changes over time as the wood ages
  • Slight cracking around joints as wood expands and contracts
  • Color differences between hardwood, plywood, veneer, MDF, and accessories
  • Finish variation due to the wood’s natural absorption differences
  • Color changes due to environmental exposure (sunlight, smoke, humidity, etc.)

These characteristics reflect the authentic nature of real wood and are not considered defects.

Warranty Resolution Process

Square Cabinetry reserves the right to choose the most efficient and cost-effective solution, which may include replacing only individual components (e.g., replacing a door rather than the entire cabinet).
